68 Million Dirahms in Foot Bridges

Several road projects summing up to a massive sum of Dirhams 68 million have been launched.

Seven pedestrian bridges will be built around the city at Abu Hail Street (close to the Grand Mosque), Al Nahda Street (near Union Cooperative Soceity), Abu Baker Al Siddique Street (near Al Gaz mosque), Al Maktoum Street (close to Al Khaleej Palace Hotel), the Airport Road (near Cargo Village underpass), Casablanca Street (Dubai Tennis Stadium), and the Baniyas Road (near Sheraton Hotel).

The foot bridges are proposed to be completed by the end of the year 2006.

Additionaly an 8km road network is being layed down at Al Warqa 4, and intersections on Al Khawaneej Road will be improved.
